The work summarizes the lectures on <em>The Gospel of John<\/em>, which Prof. Frey delivered a few years ago on the German podcast Worthaus and which have enjoyed and continue to enjoy a wide reception, both in the academic and ecclesiastical environment. Being, at the present time, one of the most reputable specialists (according to many, even the most reputable) worldwide in the study of the Gospel of John, but also of the other Johannine New Testament texts, Prof. Frey manages, in his vast research, to dedicate himself to scientific-academic approaches of great finesse, but at the same time to preserve the theological perspectives of the texts, respectively of the analyses he makes of these texts.
