The aim of this paper is to identify the main challenges facing the ICT and automotive industries, the successful solutions addressed by the interviewed companies, in order to propose a series of measures that would be useful both to small and medium-sized companies in the two industries studied, but also to any other companies seeking to navigate such a dynamic context. The qualitative analysis was carried out by interviewing the management of companies in the two industries, regarding the current challenges, the solutions adopted, the newly emerging skills, the level of training of potential employees and the expectations of employees.<br \/>\nThe data were processed with the support of the NVivo program, using reflective thematic analysis. The quantitative analysis was carried out by questioning employees and potential employees, in two different time periods, regarding their expectations related to the jobs of the future and the offers of employers, and the data were processed in the SPSS program.
