The phrase <em>new wave<\/em> is not presented as defining a revolutionary artistic movement or a current that is in a hurry to be \u00e9ichetat, as is the case with French cinema or music &#8211; the genre characterized by jerky rhythms and electronic sounds, characteristic of synthesizers, or post-punk and alternative pop-rock -, just as it does not represent something completely unprecedented. Instead, it is about a new wave <em>sui-generis<\/em>.
