In *Frogs* by Guo Shixing, for instance, nature takes revenge on harmful human activity through intense and bizarre manifestations, which lay bare the absurdity and meaninglessness of the human condition. *Marine Hotpot* by Chen Si’an presents a world already on the brink of existential collapse; through dark comedy, it critiques the slow, nearly invisible violence of environmental policies that disproportionately affect rural areas compared to urban ones, and marginalized, disadvantaged habitats compared to affluent, central ones. In *Nine Songs* by Yan Xiaoping, the author constructs a dystopian world in the midst of self-destruction, where artificial intelligence possesses more human-like attributes than humanity itself. *Black Glacier* by He Yufan defines nature through its very absence—specifically, through an excessive urbanization that swallows every tangible sliver of the sky, effectively erasing nature from the memory of modern humans. In *Home* by Gao Ziwen, the world of a primitive village encounters an elitist, alienated urban sphere in a comedy imbued with tenderness; nature—and the distant memory of it—serves as the sole source of balance between these two drifting worlds. The five selected plays articulate as many ecocritical visions of post-millennial, post-socialist Chinese society—a society undergoing profound urban, social, political, and climatic transformation.

[3823,3907,1531,1464
2226,4024
0":"post-52570","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-stiinte-umane","7":"product_cat-traducere-si-interpretare","8":"product_cat-colectii","9":"product_cat-filologie","10":"product_tag-literatura-chineza","11":"product_tag-teatru-chinez","13":"first","14":"onbackorder","15":"shipping-taxable","16":"product-type-simple
["GET
