DYNAMIQUE DES ÉCHANGES CULTURELS FRANCO-ROUMAINS : ANCRAGES HISTORIQUES ET HORIZONS FUTURS

This volume highlights the continuation of the tradition of Franco-Romanian cultural exchanges in the 19th century and especially throughout the 20th century. It brings together philologists, historians, and sociologists from several countries who analyze reciprocal influences, cultural transfers, direct and indirect exchanges, and the role of individuals as mediators of relations between France and Romania.
The book is structured around two main thematic axes. The first explores Franco-Romanian cultural exchanges through the echoes and reception of several French literary figures in Romania in the 20th century, while the second focuses on analyzing the figures and careers of several cultural “intermediaries” between France and Romania (witnesses, writers, diplomats, tutors, teachers, travelers, translators) who embodied, each in their own way, the exchanges between the two spaces.
