October 26, 2025 marks the centenary (1925–2025) of the arrival of the first ship with Macedonian-Romanians from the Balkans to the Motherland, Romania. After the formation of the modern Romanian state, the authorities recognized the common identity between the Aromanians and the North-Danubian Romanians, supporting the establishment of schools and churches for the Romanian communities in the Balkans.
This book contains the history of the arrival and settlement of the Aromanians and Megleno-Romanians in Dobrogea, starting with 1925, with their organized arrival in the Mother Country. The historical information is accompanied by extensive descriptions of the Aromanian dialects spoken in Dobrogea, based on field research conducted by Nicolae Saramandu, Manuela Nevaci, Irina Floarea.
