It is with great pleasure that we welcome the release of the second volume in our resource series. The Introductory Guide for Romanian Language Teachers continues our collective journey, one that began with a dedicated team of educators united by the vision of helping Ukrainian refugee students. As we embark on this new volume, we aim to provide you with a collection of resources needed to enrich your teaching experiences. As teachers, guiding refugee students and teachers requires a compassionate approach. We remember that these students embarked on a journey to a foreign country – Romania – due to the horrific impact of conflict, violence, and persecution. Their displacement was not a choice, but a necessity, bringing with it the weight of traumatic experiences. In the classroom, we have the privilege and responsibility to foster an environment rooted in empathy and human connection, understanding that their emotional well-being takes precedence over all else.
