This work helps students to understand the purpose of studying children’s literature, as well as the means of creating related literary texts, to correctly classify representative works in a certain literary genre, respectively in a certain literary species, based on their particularities, and to use, appropriately, the elements of literary theory in the interpretation of the proposed texts. For the best possible preparation, some work tasks or (self)control topics are also proposed to students. Current teachers in preschool and primary education can find, in the pages of this book, suggestions for approaching works of children’s literature in the educational process in kindergarten and primary grades, with examples of learning activities. We are talking about texts from both oral (popular) and cultured literary creation.
