This volume contains a selection of papers presented within the Linguistics section of the Anniversary Colloquium “Bucharest Letters. 160 Years of Existence”, held between 2 and 4 November 2023, at the Faculty of Letters, University of Bucharest.
The papers consider current research topics, discussed from both a synchronic and diachronic perspective, covering a wide variety of linguistic subfields: lexicography; lexicology and semantics; Romance onomastics; morphosyntax (historical and Romance); dialectology and linguistic geography; pragmatics; stylistics; cognitive and cultural linguistics/semantics. The articles illustrate the natural continuity between traditional research themes and methods and modern approaches, with an openness to recent theories, concepts and working tools, correlated with international studies.
