YOUNG BLOOD 3.0: THE NEW WAVE OF CONTEMPORARY FEMALE ARTISTS

“Young Blood 3.0 presents an overview of a selection of works by more than forty contemporary women artists who practice their art both in Romania and in other European countries. Their aesthetic objects and visual constructs alphabetically traverse traditional techniques and contemporary mixed practices. From painting to sculpture, ceramics, glass, installation, photography, video, fashion design, or graphic arts, the works address themes such as gender identity, social roles, intimacy, memory, the absurd, transgenerational trauma, the environment as a sacred space, the human condition, utopian worlds and dystopian narratives, the digital environment, and the intersection of art and technology, as well as the aesthetic object in contemporaneity.” (Călina Coman)
