Elements of English Terminology is aimed not only at students of terminology but also at researchers of the field. The in-depth analysis of several types of dictionaries, especially bilingual English-Romanian, Romanian-English dictionaries, as well as the case studies that are abundant throughout the book make it a useful tool for anyone interested in the process of dictionary or glossary compiling. So, why a book on terminology? Terminology is at the same time part of linguistics, translation studies, information science, knowledge engineering, and philosophy of science. Being a relatively new field of study and given the tremendous technological progress over the last two decades, there was a need for a book that would present the new methods of terminological research as well as the latest developments in terminological theories.
