Intended especially for students of the Chinese language department, this course represents a new edition of the book Contemporary Chinese Grammar I. Morphology, by prof. dr. Florentina Vișan, having as its main objective the description of the parts of speech in contemporary Chinese. The book is composed on the basis of materials gathered in the teaching activity of the Chinese language, as well as as a continuation of the work The System of Parts of Speech in Chinese Grammar, by Florentina Vișan, published in 1996, by the University of Bucharest Publishing House. The theoretical premises of this work are resumed and the way in which the definition and classification criteria proposed by Chinese grammarians are applicable is concretely followed.
