Systematic reflection on the specificity of one’s own activity has become an element of progress in the historiography of the last half century. The coordinators of this volume propose a new attempt at assessment, likely to highlight both the achievements and the shortcomings to be covered in the near future. At the same time, through the diversity of themes, opinions and styles of the chapters that form it, this book illustrates the primordial respect for the pluralism of recent Romanian historiography.
