“Paris Pallady is an exhibition essay, a nearly random arrangement of works. It is not a display or a curatorial endeavor. A display is a discourse, an articulation of arguments—even purely visual ones—aimed at convincing an audience of the objective nature of a particular trajectory. This is how a lawyer presents a case, seeking to prove that events unfolded in one specific way, in a single direction, with a singular meaning. A curatorial display is also a form of advocacy, a rhetorical discourse in support of a theory about art, about an artist, or about a period. A display carries implicit theoretical, and sometimes even scientific, aspirations—it attempts to persuade (itself) that even in the fleeting world of artistic acts order can be established, processes and evolutions can be discerned.” (Erwin Kessler)
