Protest and Identity: A Collection of Papers from the CSAN Conference (2017–2025), edited by Delia Grosu and Alexa Stoicescu, gathers fifteen of the most significant contributions presented across seven editions of the annual conference organized by the Dutch Studies Section at the University of Bucharest (CSAN). The volume brings together work by students and alumni—organized into four thematic sections: Posthumanism, Feminism and Queer Studies, The Other, and Interculturality—alongside three texts by contemporary Dutch authors: Hanna Bervoets, Eva Meijer, and Maurits de Bruijn. Addressing themes such as identity, protest, colonial memory, ecocriticism, and the human–non-human relationship, the volume offers a diverse exploration of contemporary Dutch literature and culture through the lens of current critical perspectives.
