This work, a more in-depth, further investigation into the nature of functional verb structures already addressed in my master’s thesis, focuses on the translation possibilities of such constructions from German into Romanian. One area that features numerous linguistic structures in this category is legal, and because their translation presents considerable difficulties, they are the subject of this study. The term “functional verb structure” is thus defined, its characteristics and subclasses are explained, and possible translation variants into Romanian are proposed.
